Zero Waste Practice for Educators

Teaching children to care for the environment is a learning experience that is an important part of growing up. It teaches them valuable lessons about sustainability and how we want to leave the world for future generations. Showing children how to reduce, reuse and recycle properly is like passing the baton to them for a cleaner and brighter future.
Spare pARTs offers online resources, supplies, and materials for educators in formal (school) and informal (out-of-school) settings. We’ll be adding many more resources to our library in the coming months.
Learning by example is one of the most important ways to discover. When parents, teachers and leaders show good habits to children, they pick them up and imitate them. Showing young people how important it is to look after the environment by doing it yourself is the key to a sustainable future and creating kids with a healthy attitude about our world.
The skills kids learn by practicing sustainable habits will create a sustainable world for them to live in. They’ll have a greater appreciation for the way things work, and a better understanding of our precious ecosystem. A sustainable future depends on what we do today, and good habits can become second nature.

You don’t have to be an expert or a millionaire to save the planet.
Everyone can become Mother Earth's Hero!
Spare pARTs Hero's Mission program is designed for students to participate as a challenge in completing zero-waste related tasks given by their parents or educators(students can find them in Hero's Mission Challenge). By completing the tasks and missions given, students will earn a digital badge for every individual task as an award for their achievements. Digital badges not only helps to track student's learning progress but it also forms a way to gamify, learning by motivating students to level-up as they achieve new skills or accomplishments.
The program can be conducted in the form of groups or individuals. After finish collecting the full set of Hero's Mission Badges, educators can reward students for their participation and accomplishment with our digital certificate or you could choose to purchase our eco-products as their rewards. Plus, for every product purchased in Spare pARTs, a tree will be planted in the rainforest, representing that individual’s contribution and commitment to the planet.
